Register a microchip
The microchip I.D.s. The record connects this number to the person who takes care of the dog.
Deploying the microchip is one step; linking your number to the data of the responsible is another. If a Chihuahua is found, the reading reveals the chip code. The updated record helps transform this number into a contact path.
Check all digits, keep your phone and email up to date and save the record confirmation. In case of change of responsibility, follow the transfer procedure of each platform. Do not assume that updating one service automatically updates the others.
Enlarge registrations can help identify: registering the microchip number in more than one base may increase the chances of locating the data of the person responsible, because whoever finds the dog can consult different services. Keep the same number of microchip and correct contacts on all platforms and update each registration when there are changes. More records may increase the possibilities of contact, but do not guarantee the dog's location.
